Our first communication with Russia began on February 19th. It was nice to see everyone introduce themselves and to see what area of study interested them most. Our discussion was very well facilitated with each instructor's help and they each made the first encounter less awkward and more natural. After each person in the global classroom presented his or her basic information and what he or she would like to learn from the class, we talked about Russia's recent meteor shower. I thought the video Russia showed us was very helpful in getting a picture of what it was like. Funny enough, after I got back home, I got on YouTube and the same video was on the home page! I can't wait for our next global classroom encounter and I am really looking forward to learning more about Russia.
